A Love Letter
On the terrace of my old home, I ponder in silence the fairy tale I now live in. The love that was born when I met you. In that beautiful part of Helsinki, surrounded by those adorable little shops that sell the most exquisite pastries and merchandise.
You’ve given my life countless new meanings. You, who lift me above this frozen city. And I, watching the sun gleaming through the mist, hovering above the sea, smile at you.
You make this girl daydream. Turning the surroundings into a beautiful song. And I’m swiveling. Vague as a fog, barely visible. Hauling through the zephyr. Snowflakes falling on my thighs. Embracing everything around me, leaving me speechless. Asking nothing in return. Softly, anonymously, touching, melting, altering their shape. Cushioning this small garden.
And you’re here, always in my heart. You’ve given me so much to feel and be delighted about. And I don’t know how to express it, except by jotting down these words onto this piece of paper. Because the writing, for me, turns my feelings concrete.
And it’s quiet, except where the snowploughs clear the roads.
